Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's top well-known actors. Her fame is for playing strong characters but equally vulnerable. When she was a child, spending summers in the home of her father her interest grew in the theater. While in Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. After just two short years after graduation the actress began her Broadway career. Following that, she made her debut on the world of film and television. In the years since, she's appeared in numerous TV productions, films and stage plays. She has won many awards throughout her career. These include 4 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. But despite the many accolades, her love for theatre remains constant, as she continues to perform both onscreen and onstage.
