Amanda Seales aka Amanda Diva (born on July 1st 1981) is a host, comedian and content creator who hails from California, Los Angeles. The move to Orlando in the age of 8, she went to Dr. Phillips High School prior to attending SUNY Purchase for undergrad then acquiring her master's degree from the field of African American studies with a concentration in hip hop from Columbia University. Amanda Seales began her professional career by appearing on the now-famous Nickelodeon series My Brother and Me 1994. She played the character of Deonne. Then she was a household name for her role as VJ Amanda Diva who was the main character for hip hop for MTV2 Sucker Free Sundays. Amanda Seales changed back her name to Amanda Seales in 2011 after having worked as a spoken-word poet as well as recording artists. Soon she returned to television, adding stand-up comedy to her list of credits. She is CEO of DivaWorks Inc her production company that performs and produces smart funny content for stage and screen.
