Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores during an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi, an Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci who first came across Comaneci when she was just six years old. First competing in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969, she was 13th. In 1970, she was crowned champion. At her first international contest in 1972, she took the top spot having won three golds. In her first senior competition in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champion, winning four golds and one argent. She was the first woman to perform the reverse double salo of the parallel bar that was uneven when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she started appearing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in the entertainment business when she was in her teens. She started her career performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment programs Ice Capades. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performances.
